Now it's time to build a life that finally feels like your own
Identity Reconnection™ is an approach I created to help women understand what happens to our identity during life's biggest transitions and how to reconnect with themselves, so they can finally stop feeling like strangers in their own lives.
Ever looked in the mirror and thought...
I've asked myself that same question
Your life may not be falling apart. In fact, from the outside, everything might look exactly as it should.
Maybe your children grew up. The relationship changed. The career that once fit doesn't anymore.
Life finally slowed down...and instead of feeling relieved, you found yourself wondering...
What happened to me?
Here's what I've learned.
And no one really prepares us for that part.
I will not help you find the woman you were at 20. I won't even help you find the woman you were before marriage, motherhood, work, responsibility, or even before whatever life handed you.
The woman with opinions, dreams, desires, interests and ideas that may have been pushed aside for years because someone else needed you more.
If that sounds familiar, you may simply be experiencing what I like to call Identity drift.
It usually happens quietly
A little piece of you gets set aside because the kids need you. Another because your partner needs you. Another because work needs you. Then there are bills to pay, a house to run, problems to solve and people counting on you.
You become really good at being needed.
So good, in fact, that somewhere along the way, you can forget how to be your own person.
The kids leave. The relationship changes. The career ends. The house gets quieter. The responsibilities shift.
And suddenly, there's space. And in that space comes the question: Who am I now?
For a long time, I thought something was wrong with me for not having an answer.
Then I realized something that changed everything:
When the roles we've carried for years begin to change, it's natural for our sense of self to change with them.
Understanding that was the beginning of my own journey and it became the foundation for everything I talk about today.
That's where Identity Reconnection™ begins.
Identity Reconnection™ is the process of understanding who you've become, reconnecting with the parts of yourself that got pushed aside, and intentionally deciding what comes next.
I could have called this reinvention. I could have called it finding yourself again.
But neither felt quite right. Because I don't think there's anything wrong with the woman you became.
She adapted. She survived. She loved. She cared. She built. She did what she needed to do.
The work isn't to reject her.
It's to reconnect with her and then decide what comes next.
Because I don't believe you simply lose yourself.
I think you drift.
A little compromise here.
A role you take on there.
A dream you postpone.
A version of yourself you quietly outgrow but keep carrying because everyone else is familiar with her.
Over time, those small shifts can create identity drift.
And the longer you live disconnected from what you want, value and need, the more identity debt you can accumulate.
That's why I created the language and framework of Identity Reconnection.
Created By Yours Truly
A framework for reconnecting with who you are now and intentionally building a life that feels like your own. This approach will be available in a course format coming very soon. Stay tuned..
The quiet distance that can grow between who we are and how we are living.
Our needs, dreams, promises and parts of ourselves we continually postpone.
The values, people, practices and pieces of ourselves that help us return to who we are.
A new way to understand how our identities change through the seasons of life's transitions.
You've learned things. You've survived things. You've grown.
There are parts of your old identity you may love and parts you're perfectly happy to leave behind.
Identity Reconnection isn't about going backward.
It's about getting curious about who you are now.
What matters to you now.
What you want now.
What you've outgrown.
What you've been missing.
And what kind of life actually feels like yours.
Identity Reconnection is the work of understanding the woman you've become and intentionally building from there
It's about noticing the identities you've inherited, adopted and outgrown.
It's about separating who you are from who you've had to be.
It's about rebuilding your relationship with yourself before trying to build the next version of your life.
Because you can't intentionally build a life that feels like yours if you don't know what yours actually means anymore.
“What should I be doing with my life?” “What do I actually want?”
“Who was I before all of this?” "Who am I becoming?”
“How do I get my old life back?” “What do I want my next life to look like?”
And maybe the biggest question of all:
There aren't always easy answers.
That's okay. The point isn't to answer everything at once.
The point is to start listening again.
Identity Reconnection is build around a simple belief...
Sometimes the most powerful reinvention is simply deciding to participate in your own life again.
I've taken the ideas, questions and lessons I've learned through my own experience and turned them into practical resources for women who are navigating their own identity shifts.
You'll find reflections, frameworks, exercises and tools designed to help you stop operating on autopilot and start intentionally exploring what comes next.
I became a mother at 19 and an empty nester at 44. Somewhere between those two versions of myself, I lived an entire lifetime.
I raised children. Built a career. Survived hard seasons. Started over more than once. Became the strong one. The capable one. The woman who figured things out.
And then life became quieter. The roles changed. The children grew up. And I found myself facing a question I wasn't prepared for: Who am I now?
That question became the beginning of my own journey. And eventually, it became the beginning of my work - Identity Reconnection.
Imagine knowing who you are...and letting that become the filter for every decision you make
Imagine waking up and feeling at home in your own life. Not becoming someone new, fixing yourself, or chasing the woman you used to be. Imagine choosing what comes next because it feels true to the woman you've become.
That's the work.
That's the journey.
